Meet the Team

John Wiles – Head of Priory Training

Having spent 15 years in the Royal Air Force as an aircraft engineer, maintaining front
line combat aircraft, John decided to retrain and became a qualified Business and ICT teacher in 2002. He has a wealth of experience in vocational qualifications and became an external verifier and latterly a standards verifier for a well-known awarding body. Passionate for ensuring learners from all backgrounds succeed, John was instrumental in pioneering a programme of study for learners from disadvantaged backgrounds with the Jon Egging Trust, a charity for which he is now a trustee.

Likes: Football and Travel                

Dislikes: Celery, Marmite, Cooking and Traffic Jams

Hobbies: Golf and DIY

Favourite Artist/Band: Ludovico Einaudi

Favourite Holiday: Portugal and New York

 

Alison Jones – Apprentice Processes Manager

Working for nearly a decade with apprenticeships ranging from construction, to finance to schools and general business her skills are to match the right candidates to employers working with both parties to ensure a successful outcome.

Previously she has been a trainer for a global communications company and enjoys presenting Priory Training and what it has to offer to schools, local businesses and the wider community.

Likes: Travel, motorcycling, spending time with family & friends

Dislikes: Lifts, baked beans

Hobbies: Jigsaws, walking, shopping

Favourite Artist/Band: Stereophonics

Favourite Holiday: Cruising anywhere in the world

 

Tina Ramsey - Recruitment and Development Officer

Tina trained as a Pharmacy Technician for a while until she left school. After beginning a family, she went to work for Boots and became the Training Manager. Tina moved to Lincoln and worked for a local training provider before setting up her own training company. This included 5 learn direct centres, a Beauty School in Leeds, a children’s nursery, and a Training & Development company, specialising in Learning & Development and Customer Service & Management.

Tina has recently started working at Priory Training and enjoys the diversity of her job.

Likes: All types of food,  spending time with  family and all my pets

Dislikes: Rude people, sport

Hobbies: I have an allotment, which takes up a lot of time in the summer, cooking and travel

Favourite Band: 1D (don’t tell anyone), Ed Sheeran

Favourite Holiday: Amalfi coast, Barbados

 

Joanne Moss - Lead Apprentice Administrator

Joanne’s background is Finance however for many years she has concentrated on her most important and challenging role to date - raising her two children (including a three year period when she enjoyed expat life in Azerbaijan!).

More recently she has been employed in a local primary school as Office Administrator and joined the Priory Training team in November 2016 as Administrative Assistant.

Likes: Japanese food, shopping, spending time with friends and family

Dislikes: Spicy food, ignorant people

Hobbies: Walking my two dogs, fundraising, reading

Favourite Artist/Band: Robbie Williams

Favourite Holiday: California Fly Drive

 

Georgia Kennedy - Business Administrator

Georgia is our current Level 3 Business Administration apprentice, having completed her Level 2 qualification last year. She joined the Priory Training team in January 2017 after working at another location within the Priory Federation of Academies.

Georgia has previously worked in various customer facing roles and wanted to enhance her knowledge of business.

Likes: Motorsport, travelling, transformers, dogs and cherry lucozade

Dislikes: Being bored, spiders and the cold

Hobbies: Going to watch motorsport events, running, reading, creating and trying new things, drawing

Favourite Holiday: Venice
